Alternate e-Fuels

Renewable Syngas

The Green Alternative

With the co-electrolysis of h2e, CO2-neutral synthetic crude oil can be produced from water in combination with carbon dioxide and green electricity via syngas. The so-called e-Crude consists of various hydrocarbons and can replace crude oil in conventional production processes. Existing infrastructures can continue to be used with renewable resources. Industries that cannot be electrified, such as long-distance transport, aviation and shipping or even the chemicals sector, thus become more climate-friendly without adjustments and restrictions.

Syngas is an indispensable feedstock used in a variety of chemical processes, for example to manufacture basic materials for the chemical industry, and synthetic fuels. Today, syngas is primarily produced based on fossil fuels such as coal, oil or natural gas. Renewable syngas produced from water and carbon dioxide using renewable electrical energy can make a significant contribution to the energy transition. Wind and solar energy are also transferred in this form to other sectors, such as industry and transport.

The Answer to Sustainable Future

Green Syngas for Industries

Chemicals

As a renewable substitute for synthesis gas traditionally produced by coal gasification or steam reforming, which is an important feedstock in the production of raw materials for chemical products such as cosmetics and plastics. Renewable waxes can also be obtained by a Fischer-Tropsch synthesis.

Green Syngas for Mobility

Power to Liquid

As a feedstock for the production of synthetic fuels which can be obtained for example from a methanol or for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis.
